Tea of the Month has become tea of every few months, but I’ve got a bunch of new teas and I am super excited to give them a try. This month it’s Vadham‘s Masala Chai, which might not seem that exciting, however, Masala Chai is a great tea to have on hand for visitors. Who doesn’t want to have the best Masala Chai your guests have had?
I do. Food and drink is such an important aspect of visiting in my culture that, nothing pleases me more than having the perfect treat to offer my family and friends when we settle down for a chat.
Schöne Schwester is my Masala Chai drinker, and has graciously agreed to taste test with me. As she is the Masala Chai expert between us, we should have a very accurate ranking.
Chai should be prepared at around 200 F (95 C), and steeped for 3 – 5 minutes. I steeped mine for 4, as I prefer strong tea.

We settled down with some beautiful cups, a little sugar, and some almond milk. I always recommend tasting a new without any sweetener or cream first. We ended up adding a cube of sugar and a splash of almond milk each.
I have to say Vadham’s makes and awesome Masala Chai, maybe the best I’ve tried. To be fair I haven’t tried very many. Schöne Schwester however prefers Chai, and gives this one a ( ). It’s definitely on the short list for my standing tea collection.
Vadham’s Masala Chai is great for these chilly February afternoons, but Boston Brunch Blend is perfect for cozy weekend mornings. Drop your favorite chilly morning tea in the comments. I’m always looking for a new cuppa to try!
