It’s been completely mizzly on the coast this week, but we didn’t let a little cool rain or the wind blowing the beach across the road deter our girls weekend. We rounded up the crew, and headed across the bridge for Trio Restaurant & Market for a lazy lunch, and maybe a glass of wine.

I couldn’t resist a small glass of Moscato, which was light and floral.

And none of us could say no to the caramelized onion dip. It kept all of us, including my niece, well satisfied while we waited for our sandwiches.

In the spirit of the season: turkey and cranberry chutney; Gouda and rare roast beef; grilled cheese of the week with mushrooms and truffle oil; house salad; and seafood bisk.

We feasted, we laughed, I insisted on a few pictures!

A nice way to spend a cold, drizzly autumn afternoon.
