One of my favorite university haunts, Sup Dogs is a staple of East Carolina University, anyone who has stepped foot within the city limits longer than twelve minutes hears about Sup Dogs. Classic hotdogs, burgers and sandwiches, shoe string fries, second best sweet tea in the whole city, a cocktail and draft beer selection that entices even discerning palates. La Belle Soeur and I would walk down from the school, our Little Dog excitedly skipping a few paces ahead.
We love the Ranchero dog, and the Purple and Gold Nachos (Yes our school colors). Sunning on the wide patio, looking down toward the town common, The Little Dog lounging away. La Belle Soeur and I double the dog, and split the fries. We spoil the little dog, by dipping her “doggy dog” in the fabled Sup Dog sauce.
If you are ever in Greenville, NC, scoot down town, enjoy a hotdog, and some Purple and Gold Nachos for me.
